MMic is a multi-tier design. It consists of 3 layers; presentation layer, business layer, and database layer. For optium large scale performance MMic utilizes Microsoft Component Services (COM+) as the middle tier. The presentation layer consists of user interface screens written in Java with the utilization of Crystal Reports as a reporing tool. The database layer uses Microsoft SQL 2000 server for maximum storage capabilities, fast data access, and the open archetecture need by end user to develop their own reports and access. The multi-tier design allows all three tiers to function independent of one machine. This distributed computing provides faster response times and scalability as your business needs grow.
